With the 4th of July holiday less than a day away, I thought it was only right that this week’s #tbt – Tracks You May Have Missed be none other than Kelis – ‘4th Of July’ (Calvin Harris Remix). Released back in the summer of 2010, this is a warm weather classic. Adding a fair bit of groove behind the vocals, the build features a funky and fun vibe closing out with a killer vocal bend before the drop. Calvin brings a lot more kick and energy to the remix while still carrying through the sound of the original.
