MYRNE has been burning up our SoundCloud feed for the past few weeks with our favourite artists showing major love. So when his EP found itself in my stream I knew I had to take it in. Fundamentals is the perfect introduction to the talent embodied by MYRNE. The four-track effort is a mind-bending ride that blends cheery synths, familiar rap vocals, post-Carmack distorted bass drops and some impressive progression. Early standout’s include ‘Pretty Things’ (shoutout Rick Ross) and ‘Chasm’ (that final drop is some of the most abusive percussion I’ve heard in months).
