Pusher cemented his status as one of the most promising new artists with the release of his New Laces EP this past Summer. One of the stand out cuts was the aggressive bad bitch anthem ‘Shake Down’ ft. Push Push. The raw production combined with the slap you across the face lyrics made it difficult not to love. If you ever wondered what the track would sound like if it were remixed by one of the most original duos in music, well, you’re about to find out. If you’re unfamiliar with X&G this is a good of an introduction as any. They’ve become highly regarded for their ability to push the envelop and this certainly is no exception. Stretching the hook into a hazy daydream, the intro is deceivingly smooth. The vibe doesn’t last as the illusion is desecrated by a fierce build that gives way to an absolute slaughter of a drop that feels like the soundtrack to an ancient tribal blood war.
