Back in March, Kash wondered if Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘XO TOUR Llif3’ would be one of the best songs of the year. While “best” is still highly debatable, it’s undeniably one of the biggest. There’s been a multitude of remixes and flips but the latest from Brasstracks stands above them all. Highly regarded for their ability to re-imagine works with their signature trumpet and drum-based sounds, the two prove once again why they’re two of the best out. The new rendition packs all the infectiousness of the original with an incredibly soulful feel. The trumpet takes the place of Uzi’s voice, belting out the hook and humming along throughout. You can hear it rapping each bar including the awesome delivery around, “All my friends are dead/Push me to the edge/Phantom that’s all red/Inside all white”. Thank you Brasstracks.
