A few weeks back TroyBoi let off ‘Hooper,’ the first single from his forthcoming LP Left Is Right. Today he unleashes the follow up, an aggressive slapper entitled ‘What You Know’. As he told Complex, the track was born out of his frustration when he was trying to get his music placed on labels. Unsurprisingly they wanted him to make more mainstream friendly sounds. Instead of giving in, he opted to channel his unhappy energy into his music. The result is his most aggressive work date. The vocal sample slaps doubters, while the insane sound design is sure to leave your brain blown. It’s a different direction for TroyBoi but it’s undeniably still his style.
