Last month, Keys N Krates returned with a new single and an album and tour announcement. Today they keep the momentum rolling with a killer new single entitled ‘Flute Loop (feat. Ouci).’ Where ‘Glitter’ saw them exploring a new, more R&B direction, this one has them going back to their roots, creating a banger that fits right into their beloved “weird rap beats” style. The opening is enchanting and enticing. It’s rich with promise and the drop does not disappoint. The massive flute loop is backed with snapping drums and deep pulsing bass. They flip the script midway through with a music box melody that’s freaked with some ill vocal bends and drum work. It’s the perfect balance of hypnotic and hard-hitting.
