Party Favor and Baauer are two of the biggest names in the trap and bass scene. Seeing them come together for a track is sure to have expectations at an apex, but thankfully with ‘MDR’ they more than deliver. From the outset dark basslines and sirens surround you conjuring images of a dystopian world. Just when you think it’s about drop, they strip it back to let the anticipation build further. When it does hit, it’s a menacing trap monster that pays homage to both of their backgrounds. But they’re not satisfied with leaving it at. ‘MDR’ continues to morph eventually dropping into some pulsing liquid DnB with touch of trap sprinkled in. This is exactly what I’d hope to hear when two artists of this caliber connect. Stream below and grab the free download.
