With RL Grime’s long anticipated sophomore album Nova just a few weeks away (due out July 27th) the trap legend continues increase the excitement around the release. Today by unleashing one of the rawest singles to date in ‘Pressure.’ With no vocals it’s a far cry from “I Wanna Know’ and even FUXWITHIT favourite ‘Undo.’ Instead Grime create a cinematic trap monster that feels like it would be right at home in his annual Halloween mix series. Eerie undertones score a visually striking build that’ll have listeners on the edge of their seats. When the drop hits it pairs industrial elements with sinister laughter and some hefty bang. The track’s midpoint breaks and build feel like a steady ascension into the stratosphere. Just when things seem to be going well ‘Pressure’ nose dives into a hair-raising downward spiral of intensity.
