Jackson, Mississippi based producer TVBOO has established a place for himself within the bass community, crafting a mind-bending assortment of bass riddled originals and collaborations, such as ‘dahshigo’ with New Orleans, iconic bass duo sfam.
As the heavy-filtered vocals insinuate, TVBOO’s recent single ‘Supah Bounce’ will blast you off to Jupiter. Capitalizing on his signature style, the track is beautifully balanced between heavy trap and space bass, incorporating galactic space risers and relentless choppy bass unlike any tune I’ve heard before.
The song begins with a repeating synth reminiscent of the car alarm on a spaceship, which quickly transcends into a gritty buildup that drops into a captivating volley of grimy bass notes, which had me trying to decipher which direction was up. All the while, the backdrop of the music composes tuned out playful vocals and a variety of galactic blips and glitchy tune-downs.
Needless to say, TVBOO is a name to watch out for in the coming year as he continues to develop his unprecedented freeform bass sound and collaborate with other talented producers in the bass scene.
