Although they’ve been around for a few years, Manchester-based duo Duke & Jones have spearheaded their way into the bass scene over the last six months. Their unique minimalist approach to trap has garnered the attention of huge names such as Diplo, DJ Snake, and Zedd, and some of the most respected labels such as Circus Records and Deadbeats. Along with a couple of mind-bending singles, the last few months have seen Duke & Jones earn a full EP release of Circus Records as well as a star-studded remix EP of perhaps their most popular track to date, ‘Tusk’.
Last Friday, the talented duo have proven once again why they are making waves in the bass community with a new single title ‘Jurassic’. An energy-building introduction filled with euphoric sounds quickly leads listeners into a sub-bass driven drop that is making itself known as the Duke & Jones signature, where wicked drums and crisp synths also shine. Staying true to their niche sound that flawlessly combines heavy bass with trap beats, Duke & Jones have truly outdone themselves yet again with ‘Jurassic’.
