This year’s summer anthem is here. The highly anticipated remix of Calvin Harris’ ‘Summer’ from Diplo and Grandtheft is guaranteed to dominate every festival, club and maybe even the radio until temperatures begin to dip. No strangers to collaborating Diplo and Grandtheft provide a remix of epic proportions. Perfectly utilizing Calvin’s catchy vocals, the two producers turn this track way up. From the beginning things just keep getting better, starting out with a spiced up intro it melds into a build similar to the original. The first drop comes in heavy and is guaranteed to set dancefloors on fire. The track chills out for a second to bring in some more vocals, before getting heavy once again. From there we encounter a beautiful melodic build then get hit with a freshly tweaked drop. The remix builds once more before dropping into a club influenced final section, built upon heavy kicks and ample bed squeaks. No matter what genre of music you frequent, you’re sure to enjoy this. It’s only been out for a few hours but considering the quality and star power on this, I expect it to be the 2014 version of the Calvin Harris Ft. Florence Welch – Sweet Nothing (Diplo & Grandtheft Remix). Only time will tell. Stream below and download on iTunes.
