Hundred Waters – Down From the Rafters (The Field Remix)

by FUXWITHIT

Hundred Waters are not an easy band to describe. Their recent record, ‘Moon Rang Like a Bell,’ is sophisticated, melodic, and haunting. Mixing elements of electronic music with traditional instruments, the band is able to create songs that create drama and tension that are only partly resolved, leaving the listener a desire for more. In this remix of ‘Down from the Rafters,’ a cut from Moon Rang Like a Bell, the Field extract a moment of tension from the original song and stretch into a 7 minute piece. It’s an eery track that builds your expectations, but in the end, rather than climax, it just strips down to reveal the fluttery bass notes from the beginning of the original cut.

This remix will be featured on an upcoming EP containing two more remixes of ‘Down From the Rafters.’ Get it when it drops!
