With Under Pressure set to release one week today, Logic and VMG have taken to SoundCloud to drop a new track entitled ‘Buried Alive’. With production from Logic and Dun Deal the beat has a smooth yet melancholic feel which matches the subject matter quite well. The track has him rapping about overcoming obstacles and also questioning if fame is all it’s cracked up to be. It also sees Logic doing a little more singing than usual. Real hip hop heads needn’t worry, Logic still brings his phenomenal flow and sharp punch lines, “Love it or hate it, never debate it, you can never degrade it/While these other motherfuckers probably thinking/I made it/My mind jaded no we never evade it/Elevated just to keep it innovative, innovated” & “People only in your life as seasons, Word to aunt Viv”. You’ll notice the track closes with a computerized female narrator a la Midnight Mauraders. Logic has confirmed that A Tribe Called Quest’s album was the inspiration for this and that she will be featured throughout the album. The single was given away to everyone who pre-ordered album.
