Logic’s highly anticipated debut album has finally arrived! The expectations were extremely high and Logic meets if not surpasses them. The project is excellent from front to back with no guest verses and with only 12 tracks, this is the emcee’s introduction to the world. A few early standouts are ‘Gang Related’, ‘Nikki’ and the full version of ‘Under Pressure’. ‘Gang Related’ has Logic telling hood tales and even rapping from the perspective of his older gang affiliated brother. 6ix comes through with one of the coldest beats of the year. ‘Nikki’ is mentioned throughout the album and the track finally let’s fans know her identity. I don’t want to spoil it for fans so I’ll let you take it in and find out for yourself. Another can’t miss is the full version of ‘Under Pressure’ clocking in at over 9 minutes the second half of the track sees a beat change and verses from the perspective of his sister and father and his response. It’s deeply personal and dark but that’s what makes it so powerful. With all that said, this album is a must listen from front to back so press play and enjoy Logic’s immense talents.
