SHADYXV – The CXVPHER and Detroit Vs. Everybody

by Kash

With Eminem’s SHADYXV compilation album nearing its release, the camp gathered the 2.0 boys for a cypher. It kicks off in Cali with King Crooked (Crooked I) in what looks like an old airport hanger full of cars. After a mean set of bars from Crooked, Joe Budden chimes in from Jersey to get some stuff of his chest. Yelawolf follows with a more spoken-word type of rhyme from Alabama. Joell Ortiz keeps his rhymes BK all day with stories about his past and come up and then we head to Detroit. With Royce and Marshall both hailing from the Motor City, Royce spits first and his bars are just as dope as his house gang members and label mate Yela. Finally, Marshall takes the main stage after sipping on a Red Bull and absolutely crushes it. Watch the almost 20 minute video below.

ain’t really been into diamonds since I put my first record out,
but I could put a chain around my second album and wear it as a neck medallion

Detroit vs. Everybody is exactly what you think it is. The 6 minute track is a non-stop lyrical onslaught featuring verses from Royce, Big Sean, Danny Brown and finally Eminem. Dej Loaf lends her voice to the hook and Trick Trick assists with the ad-libs. SHADYXV will include an albums worth of new music and the second disc will showcase hits from Shady Records from the past 15 years. Check out the track below, Motor City has something to say.
