King Hov. For any hip hop heads that don’t know or haven’t heard yet, today is Jay Z’s born day. That being said, we’re doing a special Throwback Thursday in celebration of Hov turning 45. The man has been a giant in the rap game pretty much since he dropped his soon-to-be classic debut album ‘Reasonable Doubt’. Not only has Hov been consistent with his music he has brought the world some of the biggest artists in the past 10 or so years (Kanye West for one). Today we revisit the track ‘December 4th’ from The Black Album, which is undoubtedly another classic under his belt. Mr. Carter takes us through his journey as a kid in Brooklyn, to his transition to a man and hustler, to him becoming a rap god. So press play and listen to one of the greatest of all time tell his story with some help from his Momma. Happy Birthday Hov!
