Cole world. Last night J.Cole performed his heartfelt joint ‘Be Free’ on David Letterman. Though this isn’t on his new album, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, Cole performed it anyway but this time with a new verse. The addition of the verse is actually pretty amazing. It really does complete the song and the bars are no doubt just as thought provoking, real and emotional as the rest of the song. In the new verse Cole addresses current political and social events, “a man can dream can’t he, no disrespect, in terms of change I haven’t seen any, maybe he (Obama) had good intentions but was stifled by the system and was sad to learn he actually couldn’t bring any”. This is a dope live performance by the Dreamvillain, even Letterman thought so. Check it out.
