Speaker Face is an experimental electronic duo from Toronto comprised of Trent Freeman and Eric Wright. ‘Jasmine’ is their second single, and is a perfect extrapolation of the Jai Paul original. The vocals are cleaned up and given a soulful touch, the percussion is simplified, and there is even some violin highlights. It doesn’t display the usual factors of a head-bobbing dance tune, so Speaker Face make it clear that they aren’t slaves to tradition.
