It’s Thursday which means it’s time for a throwback track that you may have missed. This week we bring you XV’s ‘Wonkavator’ off his aptly titled Pop Culture mixtape. The tape features a wide array of TV and movie samples and inspired songs. Unsurprisingly, ‘Wonkavator’ is built upon samples from Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. Add in a trap influenced beat and razor sharp punchlines (“I don’t lose, though, catch a dub like Nick, get an A on the track, I’m fool’s gold”) from XV and you’ve got a smash. The track should’ve bodied the clubs back in 2012 but I guess it’s never too late. Stream below and grab the mixtape, you won’t be disappointed.
