One of our favourite producers, The Hi-Yahs, is back with a two track EP entitled ‘Opus De Igno’. Opening things up ‘Click Clack’ contains an epic intro centered around dark choir vocals. As the chants become more anxious, the drums build, giving way to a mind blowing drop with some crazy wubbed out bass lines. It’s a short but powerful section that leads into another break, creating greater anticipation than the first. The climax features a slightly retooled drop with more frequent gun clicks and “hands up” samples. I haven’t heard a trap record this massive since ‘Where You Been’. ‘March of War’ is a fitting title for the project’s second effort. The track builds like an ancient war chant, leading into a trap inspired drop that feels like the heat of a battle. The tempo picks up giving the track more energy before subsiding into a break for act two. Another heavy drop morphs into some brain banging hardstyle to close things out. Look out for this killing the festival circuit or maybe even scoring the next Game of Thrones finale. Stream the project below and snag the free download.
