Drift Away with PYRMDPLAZA’s ‘Drowning’

I hate to admit it but I was sleeping on PYRMDPLAZA until I came across his ‘Dance On Me’ rework a few weeks back. After giving it an initial listen I ran it back immediately and thought WOW. It was a matter of seconds before I was digging deeper into his SoundCloud, wide eyed and eared. His sound is somewhat reminiscent of Sam Gellaitry but unique within its own right. Tracks like ‘Lagoon’ and ‘Pong’ and ‘Inure’ are nothing short of genius. ‘Drowning’ is a perfect showcase of the producer’s towering abilities. The track is a stunning composition that begins slow and melodic with a strong sense of calm. The chimes, smooth guitar and flowing water craft a tranquil existence. Midway through were are met with cavernous bass, precise percussion and intimate vocals. The final piece is like an unforgettable memory than be replayed over and over, seemingly sweeter yet more and more intangible. Drift away to the track below.
