Lil Dicky is about to be a Household Name

Some time in the winter I found this track titled ‘White Crime‘ on my SoundCloud. The song was from a rapper that had a peculiar name but it stuck out so I pressed play. I found myself laughing but enjoying the music so much that I ran it back more than a few times. Soon after, I did a quick YouTube search and found Lil Dicky’s channel – it was full of vlogs and videos both which are amusing but very real. At first, I almost didn’t know what to think and asked myself “should I be taking this guy serious and does he only do parody rap?”. But after sitting with his music for a minute I knew this middle-class Jewish kid from Philly was about to make his break. Today, Lil Dicky released his debut album which features 20 tracks and is from start to finish a pretty solid body of work. The kid can rap, plain and simple.
