It’s no secret that artist collectives have been taking over. The latest collective to pique our interest is the newly established SVB ROSA. The name is of latin origin and means “happening or done in secret or confidentiality”. Considering the impressive roster they’ve already put together, we don’t see them being a secret for long. The collective features some of today’s best new house producers including NIGHTOWLS, 1DAFUL, Jameston Thieves, Dirty Doses, Fawks, Baewatch, Ryan Collins, Thomas Hayden, FreeFall, Aaron Jackson, and Treovr. We had the pleasure of connecting with Andrew of NIGHTOWLS and TB1 of 1DAFUL to get an inside look at SVB ROSA.
Their first release is a massive bass house anthem from Jameston Thieves and Dirty Doses. ‘Tangerine Dream’ is a blend of dreamy pop inspired vocals and deep and dirty future house basslines. The progression and forward thinking sound is an embodiment of everything the collective stands. Listen to the track below and check out our exclusive interview.
FUXWITHIT: How did SVB ROSA come about?
NIGHTOWLS: We were all just artists that supported each others sound already. We all see music so freely and like that we are our own creative individuals. It’s nice to be under the same roof communicating and inspiring each others endeavors. It’s kind of a collective of artists with no expectations other than always sharing good music.
1DAFUL: SVB ROSA (from what I know) came together by Andrew from NIGHTOWLS. We had been speaking back and forth for about a month now, as well as working on a dope collab and a few days ago he asked me “would we be interested in being part of a collective?” I said, “hell yea”. These days, because of the accessibility in being able to make dope music, we all have something in common. We all just want to express our creative energy and make people dance and have a good time. So to be doing that with the support of a group of friends from all around the world is an awesome concept. It’s like back in the day at school, if the teacher asked, “do you want to do this project alone or with a friend?” the obvious answer is always to do it with a friend.
None of us are one trick ponies though. I think we prove that in our reimaginations of house music. – NIGHTOWLS
FUXWITHIT: Will you be releasing predominately house music?
NIGHTOWLS: We want to show the world how many different ways house music can be interpreted, yes. I guess we all fall under similar categories as artists, none of us are one trick ponies though. I think we prove that in our reimaginations of house music.
FUXWITHIT: Do you plan to release everything for free?
NIGHTOWLS: Free music is the best music, anything released under SVB ROSA will always be free, yes. We also all plan to release on it in the next year.

FUXWITHIT: How often can we expect music from the collective?
1DAFUL: Because it’s so new, it might take some time for our release schedules to become in sync. However, with this squad, I can imagine we’ll definitely all be looking to provide some new music every week or so. We just released a dope original by Jameston Thieves and Dirty Doses on Saturday on the SVB ROSA SoundCloud page. Now, coming up, I know there’s gonna be a bunch of releases this week and I know of at least one, because we’re releasing an original on Wednesday with Dirty Doses as well (those boys are all over the place these days).
FUXWITHIT: Are there any plans for a compilation or will it be just single releases for the time being?
NIGHTOWLS: A compilation isn’t out of the question, although single releases always seem to reach a bigger audience.

FUXWITHIT: What sets you apart from other artist collectives?
1DAFUL: I’m not sure how other people in our collective would respond to this question, I think they would agree with me. We all have so much respect for every up and comer, every established artist, everyone on the spectrum of making music, so I feel to answer “what sets us apart” could imply that we are trying to be better than someone else, which is not at all the case. To say what we are, we are a group of producer/DJ/entertainers that are very versatile and can create many different styles of music when they see fit. I think we are a group of creatives that find that perfect balance between trying new things with our sounds as well as making sure it’s something people are comfortable and familiar with.
Stay tuned for more from the collective by following them on SoundCloud and Facebook.
