We’ve been championing TroyBoi since we started our site. Truly one of the most interesting and inventive producers in bass music, the Londoner has been having a stellar breakout year. Adding to the fact is his latest release, the highly anticipated collaboration with Diplo and Nina Sky ‘After Hours’. When your favourite artists begin to make it big there’s always a slight concern that they may water down or alter their sound in order to please a greater audience. Thankfully TroyBoi continues to fight the urge and stay true to his style. Opening with vocals centre stage, the track creates a downtempo feel that is mangled by dizzying synths and chest pounding drums. It’s a perfect blend of catchy with slight a pop sound juxtaposed against production that’s pure insanity. Stream below.
