The artist formerly known as QuESt has been a favourite of ours since the release of Searching Sylvan. After an eventful year that truly saw the Miami MC searching, he found himself, opting to start a new chapter under his real name Sylvan LaCue. Today, comes the first release as Sylvan and it’s just what we’ve been missing. ‘The Watcher 3’ examines the pitfalls of the new rapper model while distancing himself from it, “Come and go, I seen em’ come and go, lord knows I ain’t one of those.” The lyrics perfectly capture the ways of the times while poking fun at the formula, “get a complex look, you know that wavy shit, pray to god a nigga come up on a Drake remix.” It’s great to hear Sylvan back again and we’ll be eagerly awaiting Far From Familiar.
