Every time I go on SoundCloud to look for mashups of popular songs, I can never find anything that is up to par with my expectations. But after some digging, I finally found a match. He goes by the name of AVSTIN JAMES and his mashups are nothing short of excellence. If you are looking for a solid combination of two hits then he is your man. You can discover his obscurities on YouTube, and they are most definitely worth checking out. What amazes so many is that he is only 18, meaning if keeps working at it, the sky’s the limit. His ear for music can really be seen through the simplicity and quality of the mashes. He picks a song and a beat, then begins to mesh, and that is it. The kid is destined for greatness and I will be sure to follow his work into the future when he produces his own beats. I will now let you enjoy, what in my opinion, are his three dopest mashups. James’ unique ability is very noticeable in this track. I could not imagine a better beat to mash with this song, and it is truly astounding that he picked up on it. He not only mastered the beat but he has also picked key lyrics that ultimately make it easier to sing along.

AVSTIN JAMES – ‘Backseat XE3 (Kendrick Lamar X Wheathin)’

Consisting of classic Kendrick and Wheathin’s disgustingly dope beat, this mashup never gets old. Nothing is better than jamming to this one in your car, preferably alone so you can bring out your inner Kendrick judgment free.

The chill vibe radiated by this mix up is too nice, so relax and let this slow beat and Logic’s lyrics influence your nerves.
