As Kismet gears up to drop his EP Nippin this Friday, the Madison, WI producer has blessed us with the premiere of the title track. For those wondering about the motivation behind the track let Kismet explain, “The idea for the Nippin track comes partly from the lack of bras I’ve witnessed at festivals this summer and also from the observation that, despite our society continually becoming more sexualized and open, it seems that the fashion trend of allowing nipples to poke through sweaters and shirts has massively declined. Looking especially at 90s sit-coms such as Friends (shoutout to Netflix/Joey), it is clear that Nippin’ was once acceptable even on TV! In my opinion, we might just be living in a modern Nippin’ renaissance.” Beyond that the track is a weirdo trap banger with addictive vocals loops, smashing drums and some insane sound design. The drops are dark and abusive and the bubbles further bolster the bang. “I want this track to put a smile on people’s faces. That’s always the goal with my music, to make people happier and maybe laugh a little,” he tells us and it certainly puts a smile on mine. Stream it below and be sure to grab that free download.
