It’s hard to believe it but last week the music world was met with the grave news that we’d lost another gifted artist way to soon, Orlando producer BIG MAKK. The outpour of support and sadness expressed by the entire industry served to exemplify the impact that BIG MAKK had on so many lives. Today was the set release date for MAKK’s latest body of work ‘THE MAKK TAPE’. His management decided to go ahead with the release as planned, citing that it’s exactly what he would have wanted. The stellar 8 track effort is a bass buffet that’s dripping with forward-thinking sound design and inventive concepts. It’s both a testament to his immense talent and a showcase of his diversity. Songs like ‘Imma Rock,’ ‘I Do This’ and ‘Top Beat’ pack the trap intensity MAKK is known for while showcasing his evolution. On the flip side, the release also shows a more laid-back vibe with tracks like ‘Beachside,’ ‘Libdam,’ and ‘Love Lost’.
