Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall are gaining well deserved recognition on the charts this fall. Going from their mediocre and repetitive hit ‘Selfie’ in 2014 to ‘Closer’ in 2016, it seems like The Chainsmokers have finally found what the people desire. ‘Closer’ was released late July and even though it is a tune that almost every fraternity plays on repeat and a track that is heard hourly on most radio stations, it consists of a unique set of vocals and sounds. It is noticeably different than other Electronic/EDM tracks out right now. The Chainsmokers have finally captured their “sound” and are taking advantage of it. Just last week their hit ‘All We Know’ with Phoebe Ryan was liberated to music lovers everywhere. Phoebe’s relaxing vocals set the pace for an impressive tune that makes you wish that the track was longer. It seems as if ‘Closer’ has inspired The Chainsmokers to continue with their newly found sound and I love it. Listen below.
