Sylvan LaCue & Xavier Omär Connect for ‘The Truman Show’

by Colin

Following up on his incredibly powerful self-produced single ‘Best Me,’ Sylvan LaCue is back with another one in ‘The Truman Show’. With a hazy brass loop and steady drums, Sylvan crafts a beat that is familiar with sense of uneasiness underlying. The plot build upon this feeling. It’s the same introspective and open Sylvan we love, but he sounds jaded, disconnected from reality, or at least trying to come to grips with what’s real. A smooth but somewhat paranoid hook from Xavier Omär only adds to feeling of uncertainty around the track. The closing verse gives listeners a sense that LaCue is ready to overcome all the fake shit.
