CyHi the Prynce Unleashes Bold New Record ‘Legend’

by Colin

CyHi the Prynce has been G.O.O.D. Music’s dark horse for a minute. The frequent Kanye collaborator boasts writing credits on My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus & The Life Of Pablo. He made some major waves as an MC with the iconic GOOD Fridays series (‘So Appalled,’ ‘Take One For The Team,’ ‘Christmas In Harlem’) but has remained relatively quiet over the years. Last year he made some serious headlines with the Kanye-kidnapping ‘Elephant In The Room.’ The track reignited excitement around CyHi and now he’s back for real. Making another statement comes ‘Legend’ a boisterous new record that flexes CyHi’s lyrical prowess. This is 4 and a half minutes of straight bars. There’s so many quotable bars but here’s a little taste, “I been spittin’ real since real the real and floppy disk/ I can see why all the copywriters tryna copy this/ My girl sayin’ I’m hardly home
I get paid to rock these poems/ Kick this shit of the dome/ Like that Ronda Rousey chick/ Black Conor Mcgregor, no losses under my records/ But if I did and I see you again I’m coming to reck ya/ Treadmilling, I been running from karma forever.” Peep game below and look out for his debut album No Dope On Sunday this Summer.
