Australia’s Swindail has been setting SoundCloud on fire with stellar remixes of ‘Lotus Eater’ and ‘Dark Skin Women’. Today he impresses yet again with a bouncy new original entitled ‘C’est La Vie’. Connecting with Maryland rapper Innanet James, the two craft an energetic, off-kilter anthem. James brings a street swagger to the trippy beat adding touches of grittiness and nostalgia. In between verses, the track’s title is looped over a knocking section, kicking things up a few notches. This isn’t quite like any tune I’ve heard before and that’s what makes it extra special.
