LA duo Vindata are back with a new (and free!) release that’s absolutely bonkers. ‘Arrival’ is an alien invasion on a stellar summer’s day. It opens with breathy vocal bends and smooth keys for a sound that is earthly and picturesque with an intergalactic undertone. As the drop hits it’s like first contact. It’s friendly but ambivalent, clumsily special. A moment of beauty is slowly shaken by waves of uncertainty. Trust is broken and there’s a defensive battle-ready electricity in the air.
