One of Shambhala Music Festival‘s core beliefs is based around love and helping one another. There’s less than 50 days until the doors open for the 20th anniversary, and the farmily’s hoping to spread the good vibes even further! To do so, Shambhala has launched The Greater Good contest – a chance to make a difference in your community and help (literally) pay it forward.
Attendees are often in a giving mood towards one another, whether handing out plates of spaghetti to fellow ravers, or taking part in engaging activities in their communities back home. This contest gives recognition to those who help make a difference, as well as further incentivize their good-hearted nature.
The overall prize consists of a grand total of $15,000 donated to charities of the winners’ choosing! 1st Place is awarded $10,000 to donate to a registered charity (or charities) of their choice. 2nd Place gets $3,000 to donate, and 3rd Place receives $2,000. To enter the contest, you must send a story of your contribution – it can be what you have planned for Shambhala 2017, or your community involvement outside of the festival. It’s a group effort, so get your squad/camp together and show the world what your definition of ‘greater good’ consists of!
The contest is open to all ticket holders for this year’s event. More details on how to enter the contest can be found on Shambhala’s main website. Help spread the love!
