Out now for release on Rottun Recordings comes the heavyweight new single from Excision’s very own Dutch dubstep protégé (and DJ support on his recent tour) Dion Timmer. Unbelievably, Timmer is only 18 years old but he’s already commanding the respect of the bass music scene’s peers and he will cement that respect with the release of ‘Berzerk.’
Usually known for his bright sounds and melodic overtones, ‘Berzerk’ veers down a darker alley that could easily be populated with the Never Say Die crew: cutting bass warps alongside some crunchy drum breaks, MagMag holds it together with some aggressive bars making ‘Berzerk’ one of Timmer’s most interesting tracks to date.
