Copenhagen-based producer Oscar Bandersen is working on a collaborative EP with fellow Danish R&B singer Emilie Caroline Mo Lindhardsen, a.k.a. Bruce. Their first single, ‘Running’, is bringing about some promising prospects for what’s headed our way.
Oscar takes it back to the ol’ school with an R&B/funk fusion, which shows its nostalgic side best thanks to its record scratches, and 80’s-inspired synths lulling in the background. Meanwhile, Bruce is giving some inspiring advice, which also doubles as a reality check, that things aren’t going to slow down anytime soon, if at all; the best way to remedy that is to come out of the shadows and fully take the hustle of life head-on.
Towards the end of the song, things take on more of a mystical turn, which leaves things off on a “look-to-the-future” sort of note. Needless to say, this tune can bring dancefloors to life, no matter what point in time the DJ decides to spin this in the club.
There’s no word on the rest of the EP as of yet, but this is a strong starting point to hold us over until more news is released.
