LAXX & GG Magree Embody Heartbreak Perfectly With ‘Heart’

by FUXWITHIT

LAXX is one of the newest artists in the bass music scene and is heralded as one to watch, and with his new track with GG Magree, it’s no surprise why. ‘Heart’ drops in anticipation of the English producer’s debut album, Fake Friends, which is to be released on February 2nd on Never Say Die. Notoriously mysterious, LAXX brings his signature sound to ‘Heart’ with a massive drop that fits well with GG Magree’s soaring vocals, capturing what it truly feels like to be heartbroken. GG Magree tells the story about a relationship falling apart and while the music crescendos the listener can hear it in her voice. Then, when an automated voice states ‘you can’t save it’ as the music ramps up to the drop, the song doesn’t feel overdone and seems to match with the narrative. Throughout the song, neither LAXX nor GG Magree loses sight of the panicked and frustrated feeling of a relationship ending and that’s what makes this song special.

‘Heart’ features two of the most promising up and coming acts in dance music. Not only does LAXX have his own debut album out soon, but GG Magree is commendable in her own right. Cosigned by Zeds Dead and Jauz, and signing vocals for one of the most recognizable songs this past festival season, ‘Frontlines’, we can expect to see a lot from these two going forward.
