Matroda Brings Some Serious ‘Boom Bap’ To Your Speakers

by FUXWITHIT

Matroda has been consistent with his Monstercat releases as of this year! The first tune marking his entry into the Monstercat family was approximately a month ago, and now the rising bass producer is looking to – and may just – cause huge waves, particularly as the label starts to branch out to new avenues.

Monstercat itself wasn’t necessarily known for releasing bass house tracks, at least not in the past – yet with its recent diversification into the heavy-hitting Uncaged, and the uplifting/melodic Instinct (with ‘Boom Bap’ fitting into the former), this looks to be the start of a whole new journey for the Canadian independent label.

The song can be regarded as “bass house on steroids” – with its hefty bassline, growling glitchy synths, and punching percussions akin to hip-hop’s Boom Bap style, it’s definitely going to shake up the dancefloor – or even your room, if listening on proper subwoofers. Following a trap-infested interlude midway through (which comes with a ticking sample that’s slightly reminiscent to that of ‘Animals‘), the tune then brings it back around full-circle, to tie it all nicely together with a quaint low-frequency bow.

Get a dose of ‘Boom Bap’ below, and keep your ears peeled for whatever else Matroda has in store for us down the road!
