Vancouver based producer Cozway set SoundCloud on fire last year with tracks like ‘Windbreaker’ and ‘Bamboo.’ The former found itself into our Top 50 Songs Of The Year list, while the latter track caught the ear of Deadbeats’ label manager and landed him the opportunity to rework Zeds Dead & Illenium’s collaborative anthem ‘Where The Wild Things Are.’ An opportunity which is a dream come true for the rising producer, “Zeds Dead were one of the first electronic artists I ever listened to. Songs like ‘White Satin’ or their Blue Foundation remix were the soundtrack of my late teens. Y’know, back in the UKF days! This remix is special to me in that it represents coming a full circle. I’ve always admired both Zeds Dead and Illenium. I’ve been producing for the last 5 or so years of my life so it’s really cool to see that they’re on board with what I’m making,” he tells us.
The release is part of the Where The Wild Things Are Remixes EP which drops tomorrow (3/9). We are ecstatic to be able offer you the exclusive first listen of Cozway’s remix a day early! With the remix Cozway retains the anthematic vocals from the original but cliff dives into the wilderness with the drops. It’s fierce, exhilarating, exotic and enriching. It’s venturing through the jungle, off the beaten path with the love of your life. Coming face-to-face with fear in various forms and overcoming it all in epic fashion. It’s a 5 minute adventure that you’ll never forget and will be dying to relive. Thankfully for you, you don’t have to cop a ticket, you can just hit replay and relive it over and over.
