Forever M.C. & it’s different Just Dropped An Album Stacked With Legends

by Colin

You ever see a tracklist for a project and think to yourself, “this can’t be real.” Earlier today this occurred for me when I looked up the new collaborative album from Forever M.C. & it’s different. After receiving a text from my brother asking if I had heard it, I quickly googled the tracklist and was left puzzled with several questions. Who is Forever M.C.? Who is it’s different? And most importantly, how the fuck did they get some of the most legendary MCs of all time on their project? Seriously, the feature lists reads like a DJ Khaled album that’s dedicated to lyricism. From OG legends like Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, DMX, Wu-Tang, e40, Kool G Rap, Chuck D, The Game, Talib Kweli, Royce Da 5’9″ and Lupe Fiasco, to underground kings like Tech N9ne, Rass Kass, Planet Asia, Chino XL & more. Featured across several tracks is KXNG Crooked (Crooked I) who not only lends his bars but served as the executive producer and locked down many of the features. The production mixes classic rap sounds with a heavy electronic aesthetic (mostly trap). Forever M.C. is just as crazy, and just as amazing as it sounds. If the fact that this album exists and came out of nowhere doesn’t prove we’re living in the best time ever for music, I don’t know what will.
