PREMIERE: Nuanda’s Debut ‘Shades’ Is Summer Bliss

by Colin

Today we have the honour of helping to introduce a new artist to the world: meet Nuanda. Originally from Austin, Texas but currently based in the LA, the young producer shows a wealth of promise. “The name Nuanda comes from a movie called ‘Dead Poets Society’. Nuanda was the character that was the least shackled by societal norms and by what his parents wanted him to do.” A fitting selection for a producer, especially one who’s looking to push the boundaries in the electronic space. Today he has unveiled his debut single ‘Shades’. The track fuses jazzy elements with future bass and a touch of trap. “The song came about after playing basketball with friends and shooting the breeze. I had this feeling of a lazy summer afternoon where I didn’t have to do anything. It reminded me of being a kid in the summer where there was no responsibility, no chores, nothing to stress about. But just having fun with friends, one of the best pleasures in life.” It’s as pure and joyous a feeling one can encounter. Distilling it into a song is no easy feat, but Nuanda manages it with a laid-back ease. The smooth keys instantly evoke a sense of nostalgia while brightly tinted synths warm your soul like rays of sunshine. ‘Shades’ flows with a free energy reminiscent of a jazzy improvisation. This provides a freeing feeling that’ll wipe any stress away in an instant. ‘Shades’ is the best summer day you’ve ever experienced synthesized into 4 minutes musically. Feel its warm embrace below and be sure to snag that free download.

Expect more from Nuanda on the regular moving forward. He said he’s planning a steady stream of releases that will push the envelope and offer something new and different. We’re certainly excited to hear more.
