Ukranian producer ELEX is on a roll. After impressing with his EDM Vegan EP, he’s unleashed a number of stellar remixes and originals. Adding to his exceptional 2018 resume is his latest release, a remix of Rohaan’s ‘Veteran.’ Built upon the iconic ‘0 To 100’ vocal sample from the original, ELEX somehow finds a way to make ‘Veteran’ slap even harder. “When I heard original, it was weird for me, and dude, I love weird music. So all these sounds in my remix are sounds from original with lots of plugins which made it unrecognizable. I tried do make weird patterns and an unusual groove,” he tell us. It’s dark and deep trap at its finest. The drops are sinister and ever-evolving. Just when you get comfortable in the deep and wonky trap sound, ELEX speeds it up into a quick hard trap barrage that’ll have you ready to jump. The mix of the constant and familiar vocals layered over an ever-changing and beastly soundscape make this an instant favourite.
