Bringing the feels on their track ‘Weather’ Daktyl and MOONZz create lyrical and electronic harmony.
Daktyl has been causing quite a stir as of late. From his remixes of Major Lazer and Halsey, to his opening sets for ODESZA and Bonobo, this artist is on a swift trajectory to the main stage of electronic music. With popular flavor echoing of real musical talent, Daktyl seems destined to bring his music to the masses.
MOONZZ vocals are really what bring life to this sweetly-sincere, electronic song. It is more than angelic, its lushness matching the viscosity of Daktyl’s dexterous mixing. There is so many sounds fluttering between transitions, each pause a pocket of beauty. The swelling synths, and plunky bass lines contrast, dashing against each other in all the ticklish of places.
‘Weather’ is a boldly different from Daktyl’s previously release ‘6 Letters’, and captures a more romantic frequency. Cowritten by friend and featured vocalist MOONZz, who revealed that their inspiration while writing was “our take on a love song,” ‘Weather’ is both emotional and party-ready. Daktyl has said that he “really connects musically” with MOONZz and that they were able to write the song the first time the met up to write. “When you’re with that one person that makes everything feel effortless, that’s the perfect weather, there’s nothing more beautiful than that feeling” MOONZz has said.
