Ever since creating the Wakaan record label back in 2015, Swedish producer Martin Stääf, better known as Liquid Stranger, has used his platform to promote the most eclectic bass music from artists across the globe. Dubbed as “freeform bass,” the Wakaan label-head has been at the forefront of bringing both established and up-and-coming producers to light. With a talented roster that includes the likes of Space Jesus, Minnesota, Esseks, and Liquid Stranger himself (to name a few), there’s no surprise that Wakaan has become one of the most talked-about labels in recent years.
While surely staying busy running a boundary-pushing record label, Liquid Stranger still finds the time to give fans their dose of some of his iconic brainchildren. He did just that last Friday in the form of the wildly peculiar yet undeniably catchy single titled ‘Gunslinger’, which also features punchy vocals from Pistol. The artist wastes no time jumping into his zany production style, with the wonkiest of synths shining in the energetic drop.
