House Music Takes Over In CONFESSION’s ‘Alchemy III’

by Steph Contant

Tchami’s CONFESSION label has quickly become the gold standard for house music since its inception back in 2015. Releasing only the highest quality content in the form of singles, extended plays, remixes and compilations, there’s no denying the impact the godfather of future house and his label have had in recent years. Following up on two notoriously groovy Alchemy albums, the label is back to showcase their unique artists on its newest Alchemy III compilation, out today featuring six of CONFESSION’s most enigmatic house bangers.

Kicking off Alchemy III is Honey & Badger, CONFESSION newcomers who present a funky edge on house. ‘Belga’ is laced with groovy piano and fat bass pulses throughout, and the drops radiate a vibrant 80’s funky vibe that’s bound to get you dancing. Following this track is Indox’s ‘House Party’, a heavier feat whose punchy kicks and catchy melodies prove there really ain’t no party like a house party.

Sonny Banks & Back2Black team up for a bass house/G-house hybrid heater on ‘Tear Out,’ showcasing the artists’ abilities to mesh intricate drum arrangements with gnarly beats to create the perfect treadmill banger. Syskey then brings hot snares and catchy vocal chops in ‘NRG’, going back to the roots of house while still keeping it fun and fresh. Then, Tony Romera soothes the soul with his unique funky take on house that is quickly becoming his signature in ‘Canicule’. The title, which means “heat wave” in French, lives up to its name as it is a bright, blissful song reminiscent of warmer days. Rounding out Alchemy III is Rootkit’s ‘Take The Shot’, a monstrous anthem with an even more nefarious bassline to match.

The Alchemy III compilation is yet another flawless showcase from Tchami’s impressive CONFESSION label and artists, ready to take over dance floors everywhere. Check it out below!
