Tails And inverness Defy Genres In Mesmerizing ‘Skeleton’

by Steph Contant

Tails and inverness are no strangers to making hits. With the former racking up millions of SoundCloud plays on originals and collaborations with the likes of graves, Alexander Lewis and TWERL, and the latter doing the same across genres ranging from pop to future bass and trap, you’d be hard-pressed to find a bad track from either of these talented artists. If you thought a collaboration between these two could not get any better, imagine the addition of Nevve, arguably the most sought-after vocalist in electronic music as of late. Last week’s ‘Skeleton’ is the brain-baby of these three accomplished musicians.

Nevve’s soothing vocals lead off the track, and they’re backed by the elegant soundscape created by Tails and inverness. With a dynamic build up, listeners are led to believe a euphoric, melodic trap or future bass drop is impending. However, in a complete change of pace, the producers bring a house vibe to the track without disrupting the flow of the introduction. Evidently the work of experienced producers, ‘Skeleton’ blends Nevve’s beautiful vocals with a bouncy pop-house hybrid into one cohesive work of art.

It’s no surprise that this genre-defying track is the first official release on BENZI‘s new imprint, Parametric Records. Peep it below.
