G Jones’ ‘The Ineffable Truth’ Is The Future Of Bass

by Steph Contant

California-native G Jones has been around for quite some time now, but throughout all the years he’s been producing, his tracks have always remained trippy, broken beat bass music. Call it weird, distorted, wonky, or anything you else you want, there’s no doubt that this artist has been a huge influence on some of the biggest bass artists of today. From amazing collaborations with Bassnectar, Mad Zach, and Bleep Bloop, to his 2017 Visions EP that was a massive success, everything this guy releases is straight fire.

Ever since unleashing ‘Understanding the Possibility‘ over four months ago, the hype around his album continued to grow with each single. The mind-bending ‘In Your Head’, innovative ‘Time’ and oddly emotional ‘That Look In Your Eye’ soon followed, setting the stage for the masterpiece that is The Ineffable Truth. G Jones has always been ahead of the curve, but this latest album is definite proof that he is a creative genius way ahead of his time.

The Ineffable Truth is a forty-one-minute musical journey that deserves a full listen-through from start to finish without interruptions. Each track offers a unique experience into bass music that is different from the last, yet the entire project manages to stay true to the G Jones essence that he has solidified over the years. From impeccable sound design to minutely precise attention to detail, the skilled producer is able to grasp listeners’ attention with stunning melodies in one instant before bombarding them with skull-shattering bass the next. The cohesion between beauty and bass is truly unparalleled, and we’ll leave it at that. The rest is for you to explore.

G Jones makes a strong case for album of the year with The Ineffable Truth. Don’t miss it below.
