DROELOE have had a busy year, coupling a massive seven-track sophomore EP titled The Choices We Face with their own headline tour, a custom art gallery, and more. The bitbird favourites have consistently proven their ability to mix emotions with music, finding a unique balance between trap and future bass that is unparalleled. Today, DROELOE have teamed up with fellow Dutch producer Sem in ‘Facing The Sea’ to keep their hot streak alive. Also known for his outpouring of feels in his originals and remixes, this was a collaboration that needed to happen.
‘Facing The Sea’ begins with anonymous female vocals paired with layers of ethereal melodies, before DROELOE’s signature percussion trickles its way into the rest of the track. A brief pause brings about an outburst of powerful synths, shining a light on both DROELOE and Sem’s capacity to merge delicate vocals with dynamic production. “This track for me is really about finding yourself and acknowledging that it’s going to be hard and that you’re going to struggle and that you should face those problems head-on,” DROELOE states about their latest.
Although heavily leaning towards classic DROELOE sounds, Sem’s contribution to ‘Facing The Sea’ does not go unnoticed. We hope to see him join forces with other bitbird heavyweights in the near future, as his sound is a perfect fit for the label. Check it out below!
