TYNAN Flexes His Talents In Massive ‘Pandora’s Box’ EP

by Steph Contant

If you feel like you’ve been seeing TYNAN‘s name everywhere as of late, it’s probably because you have been. The Oklahoma City-based producer has tearing up club and festival crowds, largely due to the quantity, quality and versatility of his releases. We’re not going to list everything he has put out in 2018 because that list would be way too long, but to give you an idea, his originals and remixes have been released on Never Say Die, OWSLA, TWONK, Wakaan, Quality Goods Records, and Bite This! and have ranged from dubstep to trap and everything in between.

Hot off a bass house record titled ‘Origin’, and metal-infused remix for Sullivan King and a massive collaboration with 1788-L titled ‘A B Y S S’ (all in the last three weeks), the beast of a producer is back with his Pandora’s Box EP, a five-track offering out today on Never Say Die. Along with the previously-released mind-melting ‘Extraterrestrial’ alongside Kompany, the project features four more gnarly bass tracks that will leave listeners speechless.

The minimal trap heater ‘Dusk’ starts off the project in full force, where TYNAN meshes punchy percussion with a plethora of metallic synths to immediately get your heart racing. He follows that track up with a collaboration with Wooli titled ‘Harbinger’. Easily the heaviest track of the project, TYNAN and Wooli flex their sound design skills to a new level to unleash absolute madness. ‘Dang’ follows, and it’s probably one of the most unique bass tracks we’ve heard in a while. Blurring lines between dubstep and trap as he does so well, TYNAN’s intricate sound arrangements will leave you in awe with this one. ‘Extraterrestrial’ and ‘785’ close out the monstrous project, solidifying TYNAN’s presence at the top of the bass scene.
