bitbird‘s core roster are continuously pushing musical boundaries. Along with San Holo, artists such as DROELOE, BeauDamian and Taska Black are blurring lines between indie and electronic music, giving dance music euphony and emotion. This genre-defying mentality is on full display in the label’s latest release, a beautiful single from Taska Black titled ‘Get Out Of My Head’ featuring Midoca. Ahead of his MINDS EP out on November 16, the Belgian producer has treated fans with one of his most soul-stirring works to date.
‘Get Out Of My Head’ is “all about how I turn into myself whenever I had panic attacks or when I was stressed or worried,” says Taska Black. The track starts off with a calming xylophone-sounding loop that is met by Midoca’s emotive vocals and a guitar riff that will immediately have listeners feeling saccharine. Additional layers are added until Taska Black unleashes a powerful drop highlighted by punchy percussion and euphoric synths. Taska Black’s use of instruments such as the violin flawlessly bridges the drops with Midoca’s poignant vocals. ‘Get Out Of My Head’ is bound to be another bitbird classic.
If this latest is any indication of how Taska Black’s upcoming EP will sound, we cannot wait to hear it. Check out ‘Get Out Of My Head’ below!
